Quality Products

With the addition of OCT scanners in our Cupar, Kirkcaldy, Leven and Glenrothes practices, we can now scan and examine the most intricate structures of your eyes—including the optic nerve and retinal layers—producing images with greater detail than an MRI scanner.

We’ve partnered with Topcon, one of the industry leaders in OCT technology, to bring these scans to you. Furthermore, your OCT scan is performed and explained by your optometrist – we believe these are too important to your eye test.

What's Included?

Sight Test

We assess your visual acuity and determine whether you need corrective lenses. If you already wear glasses or contact lenses, we’ll check if your prescription needs updating.

Eye Health Check

We examine the internal and external health of your eyes, looking for signs of conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.

NHS-Funded Eye Exams

As part of Scotland’s NHS eye care service, PLM Optometrists provides fully funded eye examinations for eligible residents. Routine NHS exams are free but do not cover contact lens fittings unless needed for a medical condition. Our team will happily explain your options.
